01-Sep-2007 Since it's spring and we are in that spring cleaning mood, we thought we'd get down to the nitty gritty and spend some time upgrading our website to reflect the value of the digital work that we do.
We like what we've done with the flash header on the homepage. We think its a really nice integration of flash and html. We've also used a little bit of php to keep the projects the spotlight section fresh and new. We also like the ajax we've incorporated on the news section as well as the contact forms throughout the site. But mostly we like the php behind the forms, which has stopped all the spam we used to get through the old Captcha form, and we don't even have captcha now!
If you take a look around you'll see that we've spent some extra time making our clients clearer, letting users know who we work for, as well as what we do for them.
07-Aug-2007 Throttle Power is up and running and is South Africa's latest and most premier online store for motor bike and moto cross enthusiasts, as well as those who are after a bargain!
We built the customised shopping cart using the Cake framework, allowing future improvements and updates with scalability and cross platform support. Layout is XHTML, allowing us to make changes across the website easily and efficiently. The site is made as accessible as possible, with the South African users system and internet connection in mind.
Throttle Power has been a huge success and we can't wait to tackle more online stores in the future.
