18-Aug-2006 Bosha Design and Upper Darby High School Art Students Collabrate on Mural Project
DREXEL HILL, PA — Barbara Bosha moved her graphic design agency to 707 Burmont Road. Bosha’s building purchase solidified Drexel Hill as the location of her thriving business, and strengthened her link to the community. But the blank, concrete wall on the side of her building, was just that, blank. The small business strip lacked energy and pizzazz. However Bosha saw in that blank wall a great creative opportunity.
She knew Upper Darby High School art teacher Ellen Flocco and approached her about a mural project with the school’s top art students. Flocco signed on and three junior students stepped forward to make the mural their required senior graduation art project.
Bosha’s response was a request for a group collaboration among the students and her 3 person staff. On May 22, they will meet to finalize the plans for the mural with “nature” being the predominant theme.
